Ship history

The ship design has been developed by Ulstein Sea of Solutions, now Ulstein Design & Solutions B.V.

2020: This year, the Ulstein-designed Sapura 3000 was performing an unusual operation by wet towing of jackets in Thailand. Each jacket was lifted off the seabed and transported 100nm while hanging in the crane with the jacket feet still in the water.
Ulstein Design & Solutions B.V. made the assessments for the hull and stability limitations for the transportation of seven jackets, and Thai television reported on this operation:

2022: The company's subsidiary has entered into a memorandum of agreement with Safeen Feeder Company, a company in the Abu Dhabi Ports group of companies, for the disposal of the vessel. The vessel has changed its name to 'Safeen 3000'.
