Ulstein Design & Solutions AS operates out of Ulsteinvik, Norway and provides various services, including concept development, ship design, equipment packages, system integration, on-site assistance, and other related services. We maintain close relationships with shipowners, yards, and suppliers, emphasising segments such as offshore wind, expedition cruise, RoPax, fishery and offshore oil and gas.

We specialize in creating ship designs, planning equipment packages, and integrating systems for ship construction globally. Our services include concept and detailed design, redesign, and product development. We also provide CFD analyses, tank tests, project management, site supervision, installation, and commissioning.
We constantly refine and improve each step throughout the development and design process to enhance performance while reducing costs. Our focus is enhancing efficiency, reliability, and safety for demanding operations.
Our close collaboration among design, engineering, production, and operation enables us to supply all aftermarket and upgrade services effectively. We provide solutions with life-cycle costs that are competitive.
We have developed IP-protected ULSTEIN innovations such as the X-BOW®, X-STERN®, and TWIN X-STERN™ hull line designs that improve safety and comfort while reducing fuel consumption.
